Counseling Resources
With the rest of the nation, our TTUHSC El Paso community is deeply saddened by the tragic, senseless act of violence that occurred Tuesday at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. We grieve for the families and loved ones of the victims for their unfathomable losses. We mourn for the entire Uvalde community, who have undoubtedly been impacted, including its first responders, law enforcement officials, educators, and health care teams who have endured the unthinkable.
If you are a member of the TTUHSC El Paso community and would benefit from speaking to a counselor, you are encouraged to take advantage of our university’s student, employee and resident assistance programs offered by the Department of Psychiatry. These programs typically offer several confidential counseling sessions at no cost to the individual. You can request an appointment by calling 915-215-6255 or emailing TTUHSCElPasoAssistanceProgram@ttuhsc.edu.
