Tech Talk is your source for coverage of news and events at Texas Tech University Health Science Center El Paso. Tech Talk is produced by the Marketing and Communications team in the Office of Institutional Advancement.
A Tech Talk newsletter is emailed to all TTUHSC El Paso students, faculty, staff and other subscribers every two weeks, typically on Wednesday afternoon. We may pause the emailing of our newsletter during holiday breaks.

All faculty, students and staff with an active TTUHSC El Paso email address will receive the Tech Talk newsletter.
If you are faculty, student or staff and have not been receiving the newsletter, contact the IT Help Desk to make sure your TTUHSC El Paso email address is included in the TTUHSC El Paso faculty, student and staff email contact group (distribution list).
This will ensure you receive the Tech Talk newsletter as well as other important emails, such as safety, construction and parking announcements. -

The Tech Talk newsletter is emailed every two weeks, typically on Wednesday afternoon. We may pause emailing the newsletter during holiday breaks.

• Complete the SysAid Tech Talk Announcement Request form. Upload event flyers, announcement text, photos and other attachments related to your announcement.
• Your request will be reviewed by an editor. If your announcement/event requires edits, it will be returned to you by email through the SysAid system for revisions.
• Please revise your announcement/event and send it to us for final approval. You may email the document to us by replying to the SysAid email, or you can upload the document to your SysAid ticket and let us know by email that the updated document is attached to the ticket.
• We will let you know when your announcement is approved. After approval, we will upload it to Tech Talk — and, if applicable, the campus monitors — as soon as possible.

If applicable, we can also request IT display your announcement slide or event flyer on the campus monitors, so you only have to submit a Tech Talk announcement ticket through SysAid.
Keep in mind, requests for display on campus monitors may require additional approvals.

Keep in mind that Tech Talk is emailed to subscribers every two weeks. So it’s important that you submit your announcement or event as far in advance as possible to reach Tech Talk’s readers.
