TTUHSC El Paso Receives Recommendation for Continued Full AAALAC Reaccreditation

Following a recent site visit and comprehensive review of TTUHSC El Paso’s animal care and use program, the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International has recommended continued full reaccreditation to the university. This internationally recognized accreditation reflects the university’s commitment to go beyond the standards required by regulatory agencies to achieve excellence in animal care and use.

“The accreditation team was very complimentary of our animal facility, and I’m tremendously proud of our Laboratory Animal Resources Center staff,” said Deborah J. Clegg, Ph.D., vice president for Research. “They really care for the animals and take pride in what they do, and it showed! They are exemplary of our values-based culture.”
