Neighborhood Smiles
El Pasoans had two big reasons to celebrate Neighborhood Smiles Day on Friday, Nov. 17. First, Marathon Petroleum announced a generous $50,000 gift in support of the Texas Tech Dental Oral Health Clinic. Second, 120 children received free dental exams as part of the special day.
Free Dental Days in May
The Texas Tech Dental Oral Health Clinic will offer free dental screenings and cleanings for older adults, residents of the 79901 and 79905 ZIP codes, and college students by appointment with a valid ID.
Life-Saving Screening
The NBCF awarded a $10,000 grant for breast cancer screenings administered by the Medical Student Run Clinic and its Mobile Care Unit.
Diabetes and the Dentist
The new initiative looks to improve health care access across our Borderplex by helping prevent diabetes and empowering screened residents with appropriate resources.
