The Office of Global Health and Societies presents “Fire in the Blood,” a film that exposes how Western pharmaceutical companies and governments blocked access to affordable AIDS drugs in the 1990s, causing millions of preventable deaths in Africa and the global south. The film highlights the role of activists in saving lives, while examining corporate greed, government collusion, and the power of grassroots activism to drive global change.
