TECH Ready Launch Event: Sept. 13
TECH Ready Interprofessional Education Initiative Launch Event and Panel Discussion
The Office of Interprofessional Education will host a lunchtime launch event for the TECH Ready Interprofessional Education Initiative from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at MSB II Room 1A103D.
The event will feature a panel discussion on the topic of “Preparing TTUHSC El Paso Students to Advance Health Equity and Health Care Quality Through Spanish Language and Interprofessional Education Training.”
Registered in-person attendees will receive a box lunch and a T-shirt (virtual attendance is also available). Register to attend here.
TECH stands for Team-based, Effective, Collaborative, Health care. Led by Dr. Benavides in the new Office of Interprofessional Education in TTUHSC El Paso’s Office of Academic Affairs, TECH Ready is the university’s five-year quality enhancement plan required by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges for reaccreditation.
Panel members will include Dr. Gilberto Garcia, Arely Muñoz, Judith Navarro, Dr. Wendy Woodall, Dr. Mariela Lane, and Dr. Herber-Valdez. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Alyssa C. Benavides and Dr. Scott Crawford.
TECH Ready will prepare students to work with individuals of other professions, communicate with patients and their families, and develop relationship-building values as they become tomorrow’s health care leaders.
